# Familiar Types

Familiars enhance hero capabilities by providing bonuses to specific stats. As we continue to develop and expand the game, our vision includes introducing a broader range of familiar types to enrich gameplay and strategic options.

#### Current Familiar Types

**Type 1 Familiars:** Currently, the only type available, these familiars provide a stat bonus to heroes, with the bonus magnitude depending on the familiar's rarity. This single-stat enhancement allows players to tailor their hero's strengths more finely.

#### Future Developments

**Type 2 Familiars:** Details on the next type of familiars are in the pipeline. We plan to introduce additional functionalities that will further diversify how players can enhance their heroes, promising new strategies and deeper customization.

Stay tuned for upcoming announcements as we reveal more about the familiars and the new dynamics they will bring.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.themachinesarena.com/familiars/familiar-types.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
